Description
Gold chloride is a golden yellow crystal, which is easily hygroscopic and deliquescent. Add cold potassium hydroxide to its solution to get orange-red gold hydroxide Au(OH)3 precipitation. [AuCl4]- and [Au(CN)4]- complex ions can be formed when encountering ions that can supply electron pairs, such as Cl- or CN-. It is mainly used in the gold plating industry, photographic industry and various gold compound production industries, and is an important raw material for the production of other gold-containing fine chemical products.
