Au2O3
Description
Gold oxide is also known as gold oxide. ①Au2O3=441.93, black powder, gradually decomposed after exposure to normal temperature. When heated to 160°C, partial loss of oxygen turns into gold oxide, and complete loss of oxygen turns into elemental gold at 250°C. ②Au2O3·3H2O=496.00 brown powder, it loses 1.5 molecules of crystal water when heated to 100℃. Both are insoluble in water, but soluble in hydrochloric acid, concentrated nitric acid, sodium hydroxide or sodium cyanide solution. Easily reduced to elemental gold by carbon monoxide or hydrogen peroxide. It is prepared by heating gold hydroxide to constant weight at 140~150℃. Gold oxide can be used as a chemical reagent and also used for glazing porcelain. Used for porcelain glazing, etc
