Description
Tripotassium hexachlororhodate K3RhCl6 CAS: 13845-07-3 is a purple-red triclinic crystal or powder. Relative density 3.291. It decomposes in case of water, slightly soluble in alcohol and potassium chloride. It is prepared by heating rhodium and potassium chloride in a stream of chlorine or adding potassium chloride to a hot rhodium-containing chlorine ligand. Pure products can be used as analytical standard reagents. Potassium hexachlororhodate(III) is used as pharmaceutical intermediates. It is also used as chemical catalyst.
