Description
The chemical formula of ammonium chloropalladate (NH4)2[PdCl6]. The molecular weight is 355.20. It is a red octahedral crystal. It decomposes before the melting point, and the relative density is 2.418. Slightly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol and cold hydrochloric acid. When placed and heated for a long time at room temperature, chlorine gas will be released and become (NH4)2[PdCl4]. Almost insoluble in concentrated NH4Cl solution. The aqueous solution is heated to boiling to liberate chlorine.
Application range:
Ammonium chloropalladate is used as an analytical reagent and can also be used as a catalyst;
1. Ammonium chloropalladate is used in a process of separating platinum and palladium from a platinum-palladium mixture.
2. Used in the preparation of palladium powder.
3. Used for the separation of platinum group metals.
